The late Britt More, co-founder of MORE and heart behind the MORE operation until her tragic passing in October 2016, was all about collaboration. She had a gift for finding and recognising talent, and believed in helping and challenging others to grow and develop.
She also had an impeccable eye for quality and pure substance, and a passion for always improving on the MORE guest experience. She understood that one true way to peoples’ hearts was through their senses.
OneLife MORE is the brain (and heart) child of Britt, and will forever embody her commitment to helping others; challenging herself to always being MORE and to fully living this beautiful thing called life.
OneLife MORE is a collaborative brand, partnering with product specialists who have a focus on good quality that enrich our guests’ experience, and have built a business on sound values in line with our own.
OneLife MORE Retail
“Beauty, for me, is not in a brand name. It lies in the essence of something well made, with a quirky charm and a distinctive character. African designers possess a creativity and sense of style that is unique in the world. This is what I wanted to showcase through our OneLife MORE brand.” [Britt More]
Our retail boutiques at each of our lodges offer a range of high-end clothing, accessories and art – as well as basic necessities.
In the forested depths of eastern Congo lies Virunga National Park, one of the most bio-diverse places on Earth – in fact, half of all the biodiversity in sub-Saharan Africa lies here. It is also home to about a quarter of the world’s critically endangered mountain gorillas.
In this wild, but enchanted environment, a small and embattled team of park rangers protect this UNESCO world heritage site from armed militia, poachers and those seeking to control Congo’s rich natural resources. Thanks to the dedication of the park’s rangers and wardens, Virunga has been able to survive. Certain politicians, the European Union, conservationists, philanthropists, and private donors have also played a vital role.
We chose Congo Coffee by BeanThere as our exclusive coffee brand, not only for its incredible flavour but also for the story that lies at its heart. The story of Virunga in the Congo is one of a group of brave people risking their lives to build a better future in a part of Africa many have forgotten about. We’ve pledged to do our bit to help those we come in contact with to remember.
The Africology Story is one of passion and humanitarian devotion. Founder and COO, Renchia Droganis, has been called a ‘botanical alchemist’; her soul devoted to kindness and serving with consciousness. An experienced metaphysical and Reiki counselor, she has worked with many victims of South Africa’s difficult past, using her experience as a massage therapist and aromatherapist to heal pain through therapy. Renchia had a vision to create a brand that would help people without harming; that was kind and holistic to the earth; and was free from deceit. And so Africology was born.
Africology is South Africa’s leading natural, eco-friendly and holistic spa and skincare company. Its success has gone well beyond South Africa’s borders, and the brand is now available across the world.
Africology holistic spa treatments are influenced by traditional African wisdom and Reiki techniques.

‘The plant kingdom’s most sophisticated and intelligent flower’ [Doug McMurty, prominent orchid expert and co-author of ‘the Field Guide to the Orchids of Northern South Africa and Swaziland’]
Few things are as pleasing to the senses as an orchid in bloom, with its intricate shapes and enchanting colours.
Louise More, matriarch of the More family, has had a passion for orchids since the early 1960’s and has been successfully collecting and growing them for 30 years now. In 2005, Mrs. More decided to focus her passion into a sustainable project that would benefit others, and embarked on an exclusive agreement with her son, Robert, to supply the magnificent plant to the MORE Lodges and Hotels. She believed that the many guests gracing MORE’s doors would be all the more enriched for it, and she was right.
Mrs. More has since partnered with Doug McMurtry, one of South Africa’s most prominent orchid experts, to maintain her impeccable standards and to keep up with the growing demand for MORE orchids.
MORE Orchids has procured different varieties from around the world to ensure that every visitor gets to appreciate these beautiful plants in full bloom, year-round (as far as possible).
Every two weeks the orchids are collected and returned to the green houses on the More Family Farm. Under the watchful eyes of Doug, Shane and David Hlatshwayo, the plants are lovingly tended until they are ready to flower again.
David Hlatshwayo is the embodiment of Louise More’s vision to enrich people’s lives through her flowers. This young and passionate ornamental horticulturist is the understudy of Doug and Shane, and has become a recognized face at the MORE Lodges as he proudly delivers each new floral consignment. This mentorship is in line with MORE’s company purpose to enrich talented individuals’ lives by creating new and inspiring opportunities.
